Lineage & Training

My Āyurvedic training includes study within the Shaka Vansiya Lineage — a lineage of royal physicians to the kings and queens of India, one of the most ancient and respected medical lineages preserved within the Vedic texts. This lineage emphasizes precision, timing, and careful assessment of readiness before intervention, shaping a way of working that honors discernment, integrity, and the appropriate sequencing of care.

My work is also informed by Himalayan yogic and transcendental wisdom through formal training in Vedic and Tantric traditions via the Sattva Yoga Academy. I completed over 200 hours of study in Kriya (a branch of the Vedic Tantric traditions), Nāda (sound healing), Himalayan Kundalini, Laya, Hatha, Vinyasa, and Sattva Meditation. This training was received through a lineage originating in Rishikesh, India, under the guidance of my teacher, Anand Mehrotra. These teachings inform how I work with energy, embodiment, and integration as grounded, lived practices — supporting stability, presence, and lasting transformation rather than abstraction or performance.

In addition to formal training, I hold a personal connection to my Maltese lineage, rooted in the ancient Middle Eastern and Mediterranean world, including Phoenician origins. This ancestral orientation shapes my sensitivity to place, ritual, and continuity, informing a practice that honors origin, embodiment, and the remembering of wisdom through lived experience.

Praveśa — A Threshold Session

Duration: 60–75 minutes
Investment: $222–$333

Description of Praveśa
Praveśa is an intentional entry point into my work. It is a private, one-to-one space to arrive, to speak what is present, and to feel into what is ready to unfold. This session is not about assessment or problem-solving; it is about listening — to the body, to the field between us, and to what is quietly asking for devotion. Navavada is a longer ceremonial container that opens a few times each year. When someone feels drawn toward that path, Praveśa is where we begin.

I also completed 200 hours of immersive training at Sattva Yoga Academy in Kriya, Naad (sound healing), Sattva Meditation, Himalayan Kundalini, and Hatha-Vinyasa.

I offer Ayurvedic Alchemy sessions, Sacred Bodywork, seasonal Panchakarma (a Vedic spiritual cleanse used to deeply purify the body, mind, and spirit), and handcrafted ritual products through my Love, Vella line.

As a current member of the NY Chapter for Ayurveda, I’m part of an advocacy effort to recognize Ayurveda as a medical alternative—covered by insurance and accessible to all.
